UK MUSIC: THAI-MATIC – A MILLION ANSWERS

A Million Answers is the first release from Thai Matic’s forthcoming mixtape,  Let Me Land. I am definitely feeling this track. The production is decent and the guy can rap. Yep! This gets the thumbs up from me. But will the UK mainstream embrace it? Probably not. It doesn’t sound like THIS or THIS. Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?

UK ‘MUSIC’ – SHARDINAY – OH BOY

I am shaking with laughter right now. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! Shardinay…. kneel so we can pray.. for a vocal coach! The dancing…. the clothes…. I can’t……. HA HA HA HA HA HA! *Wiping the tears from my eyes* “Pack all your bags pack all your Tampax” is that what she’s singing? And the woman sitting next to Shardinay in the car at the beginning.. err did she spend the night under a []

NICKI MINAJ – MY LOVE

This is Nicki’s new single ‘My Love’ which uses a sample from one of Annie Lennox’s old tracks, (the name of the song escapes me) No More I Love You’s. Thanks everyone. Annie should have denied their request to use the sample. Look… I’m sure Nicki’s a lovely woman but musically she’s RUBBISH! Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?

UK MUSIC: DOOM MAN – ‘DON’T TALK TO ME’

28 year old rapper Doom Man will officially release his new single Don’t Talk To Me in August from his own label Onslaught Recordings. Don’t Talk To Me is supposed to be a party track but it just sounds dull and uninspiring. The production is weak and the lyrics.. well same old same old. But I guess this track is geared towards a younger audience (the 90s babies), so they will probably think it’s the best things since sliced bread. Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?

UK MUSIC: E.L – THROW IT BACK

Check out up and coming group (from East London) E.L and their debut single Throw It Back. The  group consists of two main rappers and a DJ. The front man of the group is known as Pteezy while the rapper known as T is the mysterious artist of the group (you will soon see why…….) I can see the 14-16 year old female demographic grooving to this party track. It has mainstream appeal to a certain extent. But I also think the []

UK MUSIC: IDRIS ELBA – ‘HOLD ON’

British actor Idris Elba has been out there promoting his musical endeavours for sometime now, but this is the first time I’ve actually bothered to listen to one of his tracks, and I’m now wishing I hadn’t bothered clicking on the play button. Idris should stick to what he is good at  – ACTING!!! I am guessing that he  surrounds himself with a bunch of sycophant ‘yes men” because Hold On is hilariously bad. And can somebody please tell me when Idris []

UK MUSIC: 1UP EMPIRE (ICE CREAM, MAFIELLA, SKRILLZ) – SKY’S THE LIMIT

Rapper Ice Cream,  her sister Mafiella  and the 1UP Army are back with the new track Sky’s The Limit. When I first came across these ladies several months ago at over at Brown Eyez , I was left speechless. The gun talk, the tights, the leotard.. it was all too much. Ice Cream and Mafiella just sound like they want to war with anyone who crosses their path, especially Mafiella. But give me them any day over that ridiculousness across the pond []

UK MUSIC: G-FRSH – BLACK BATMAN

Jay-Z’s influence runs DEEP once again! UK rappers just love to sip that Jay Juice. Three words –  Run This Town. In all honesty the production isn’t bad but lyrically he’s just all over the place. I’ve listened to this track six times and I still don’t know why he’s the Black Batman. Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?
