UK MUSIC: SNAKEYMAN – ‘CRIED’

Snakeyman  starred in the UK film Adulthood and will also appear in the up and coming flick 4.3.2.1 As well as acting Snakeyman is also embarking on music career and has just released the single Cried. This is my first time ever listening to a Snakeyman track. I had no idea that he won a UMA (Urban Music Award).  When? Anyway old Snakey can actually rap and Cried is both sad and uplifting. The production (surprisingly) isn’t bad either. I’m sorry but []

Guru allegedly wrote this letter to fans while in hospital battling his illness. Via BallerStatus.com I, Guru, am writing this letter to my fans, friends and loved ones around the world. UK MUSIC: GIGGS – ‘LOOK WHAT THE CAT DRAGGED IN’

Check out rapper Gigg’s latest offering Look What The Cat Dragged In. “I’m a breast man but I rate arses” “Diabetes fiening the chocolate” “I done it bare back I take chances” I’ve said it before and I will say it again Giggs is a lyrical BEAST I tells ya! UK STAND UP!!! The video – You can tell that Giggs has gone up in the world and now signed to a label.  It looks as if at least a grand was []

UK MUSIC NEWS: SKEPTA SET TO COLLABORATE WITH P.DIDDY

Sean “Diddy” Combs has developed a sudden interest in the UK music scene. He posted on Twitter several days ago that he had just signed his first UK rapper, something he says  he’s wanted to do his “whole life”. Yeah whatever Combs! But nobody seems to know who the “lucky” rapper is yet. And this morning Diddy made a point of letting the world know just how much he loves Grime music (The Grime ship sailed off in to the mist about 4 years ago Diddy), and []

ESQUIRE MAGAZINE UK (MAY 2010): THE JAY-Z NAUSEATING LOVEFEST CONTINUES

[Thanks Mikey] Jay-Z is featured in the May 2010 issue of Esquire Magazine UK – “Jay-Z  Why He’s  The CEO Of Cool”, and TV/radio personality Jonathan Ross has written an article about the rapper. The British mainstream media’s obsession with Jay is just nauseating! You have BBC Radio personality Jo Whiley who I always associate with the Indie Rock scene,  fawning, cooing and wetting herself over Jay and now Jonathan’s his biggest fan. To some Jay-Z is now the acceptable face of []

VIDEO: NICKI MINAJ LIVE PERFORMANCE (FLORIDA)

So this woman is being peddled as being the next female rap superstar. I can’t…… All I can do is laugh like a maniac while watching this. The woman looks like she’s lip synching throughout this joke of a  live performance. Watch from mark 1.15 Also check out the ridiculous looking  bodyguard on the stage with her, behaving like he’s there to protect President Obama (mark 3:45). Via Rasha Entertainment Atrocious! Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?

VIDEO: DRAKE – ‘OVER’

Major excitement! Overly-hyped rapper/singer Drake has finally released the video for his single Over. I LOVE the production on this track, but Drake isn’t a spectacular lyricist. They really are trying their hardest (his team)  to brainwash the public in to believing that this man is the hottest artist out their right now.  But it’s all LIES!!! And as for the video – what was that??? Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?

QUOTE OF THE DAY: TIM WESTWOOD

“I’ve been broadcasting to absolutely nobody for the last three hours. What are you laughing about? Didn’t you see the figures? No-one listens to Westwood in the afternoon. It’s soul-destroying.” Radio personality Tim “Big Dawg” Westwood isn’t a happy man. The “Big Dawg”complained about his BBC 1xtra drive time listening figures on the Scott Mills Radio 1 Show last week. Westwood is live on air weekdays from 4pm – 7pm.   I’m sorry but I cannot stop laughing. Poor Westwood – nothing []

UK MUSIC: CHOCKZ – HOLLA @ ME

Check out rapper Chockz’s video/track Holla @ Me (cover track of Drake’s Over) I like Chockz, he sounds good on the track and seems to be having a lot of fun in the video. Unlike most UK rappers I can actually smell the faint scent of charisma here. It will be interesting to see how his career develops. Your thoughts please…
