DAMON DASH SET TO WRITE TELL-ALL BOOK?

Rumour has it that Damon Dash is planning on writing a tell-all book. Bruk Pocket will sit down, open his lap tap, and then employ a reasonably priced ghost writer to rehash the past. The good old day’s with a young and hungry rapper called Jay-Z, the rise and fall of the Roc-A-Fella empire, the times when he publicly belittled people, and his own demise in to obscurity. This should be a very entertaining read!

UK MUSIC: SKEPTA FT JME – ‘DISGUISE’

First let me thank Speakz over at Pinboard Blog for bringing this track to my attention. All I am prepared to say at this time is… Tranvestites and Transformers theme tune. SMH. Absolutely hilarious! Your thoughts please. Hit or miss?

NEW MUSIC: JAY-Z – DEATH OF AUTOTUNE (RADIO RIP)

Everybody seems to be talking about Jay’s latest offering ‘Death Of AutoTune’ on Twitter. I just listened to the track and I like it. The old man has impressed me. Lines like, “Boys jeans too tight/colours too bright/voice too light…” put a huge smile on my face. LISTEN Via Nahright Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?

UK NEWS: THE METRO FEATURES EDITOR RESPONDS TO BASHY CRITICISM / THREATENS TO BAN INTERVIEWS WITH ‘MINORITY SUBJECTS’

I reported earlier on that a journalist working for The Metro newspaper faced a wave of criticism today, after he asked UK rapper Bashy if he thought “music was a way out for young black people now, like boxing used to be”, during an interview. Since then the newspaper has received a wave of complaint emails and reader Susan Younis has kindly forwarded me the response email she received from The Metro’s Feature Editor Kieran Meeke. Hi Susan Thank you for your letter and my apologies that you found the question []

UK MUSIC: MZ BRATT – ‘WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?’

This is the official video for Mz Bratt’s debut single ‘Who Do You Think You Are’. The video has a number of featured cameo’s, but as most of you already know, I don’t really pay that much attention to what goes on within the world of UK ‘urban’ entertainment, so I only recognise one or two faces… and Mz Bratt. (lol) I actually like this track. I think it’s really catchy, and something that I would play in the summer while sitting []

VIDEO: THE DREAM FT KANYE WEST – WALKING ON THE MOON

There is nothing special about this track at all and it doesn’t make me feel as if I am walking on the moon. I think that it would be in The Dream’s best interest if a friend took him to one side and told him the truth, which is… When you sing it sounds as if your testicals haven’t dropped yet. You cannot sing!   The Dream should continue to focus on producing and writing hit records for artists and accept that he is a behind []

UK MUSIC: GIGGS FT THE STREETS – SLOW SONGS

Several days ago UK rapper/BET Best UK Hip Hop winner Giggs crossed my mind. I wondered what had happened to him because all had gone quiet on the music front, and I hadn’t received any more emails attacking me for not being one of his biggest supporters. But then the new track ‘Slow Songs’ featuring The Streets was brought to my attention [Thanks Melissa]. Mike Skinner (The Streets) also produced the track, which will officially drop later on in the year. I []
