NIKE FOOTBALL: WRITE THE FUTURE COMMERCIAL – A CURSE?

Nike released the pretty impressive Write The Future commercial, promoting the World Cup just before it kicked off in South Africa on June 11th. Now people are calling the commercial the ‘curse of Nike’,’ because most of the players featured along with their team mates didn’t perform well  (particularly England (waste men) and France) and have now all been knocked out of the tournament. GERMANY KNOCK ENGLAND OUT OF THE WORLD CUP

Weeks before the World Cup kicked off in South Africa, a visitor to the site accused me of being negative when I said that the England team didn’t stand a chance of winning the tournament. UK NEWS: ROBBIE EARLE SAYS ITV BOSSES KNEW ABOUT THE 400 WORLD CUP TICKETS

Former footballer and fired TV pundit Robbie Earle has claimed that ITV bosses knew he was buying 400 World Cup tickets through them. WORLD CUP 2010: RIO FERDINAND OUT OF ENGLAND SQUAD

Via BBC News England captain Rio Ferdinand has been ruled out of the World Cup after suffering a knee injury in training.   Victoria Beckham Via The Daily Mirror England’s Wags yesterday demanded the immediate lifting of their ban from next year’s World Cup – claiming they are vital to success on the pitch.
