Liverpool FC player Luis Suarez has been found guilty of racially abusing French Manchester United star Patrick Evra. Uruguayan striker Suarez has been given an eight-match ban and also fined £40,000. Well the ‘highly anticipated’ MOBO Awards ended an hour ago, and they should never hold the event in Liverpool again.  The only time the audience showed any real enthusiasm was when premiership footballers ( I cannot remember his name) Tim Cahill and Tim Howard appeared on stage to present an award, and when Billy Ocean collected a lifetime achievement award. Via The Guardian John Barnes, the former Liverpool and England winger, has been declared bankrupt by a Liverpool insolvency court only days after he was fired as manager of Tranmere Rovers. Barnes, 45, gave his occupation as a ‘provider of media services, lately a footballer’. He was declared insolvent and will be discharged on 14 October, 2010.
