Yes it’s almost that time again folks…..
MOBO (Music Of Black Origin) Awards founder Kanya King has announced that the 2012 ceremony will take place in the city of Liverpool on November 3rd.
I am surprised they chose to host the event in Liverpool again after the 2010 ceremony. The atmosphere was deader than a graveyard, the audience didn’t seem all that familiar with the majority of the acts who performed (they looked lost and confused) and the only time they livened up was when two footballers from rival clubs walked on stage to present an award.
Anyway lets all hope and pray that the ceremony is a lot more livelier this year.
So… will you be at the this year’s MOBO Awards????

I don’t get why they don’t just do it in Birmingham or Manchester, they’re both major cities and have huge ‘urban following’ and make more sense than Liverpool but it’s still better then when they held it in Scotland.
my thoughts exactly!

The answers kinda of simple the cities are paying MOBO to host the awards. Its the events’ only major source of funding since Mastercard walked away from their four year – £1M a year deal back in 2004.
