Last week Capital Xtra’s resident Hip Hop DJ, Tim ‘big dawg’ Westwood, spread his brand of nonsense to Lagos Nigeria. The Industry Nite threw up quite the spectacle . It was a special ‘Industry Nite with Europe’s finest disc jockey, Tim Westwood, where the legendary DJ was in his element, thrilling the audience with his mix, and interjecting vocals. Pulse.ng LMAO – This gave me my biggest laugh of the day. “If you’re proud to be Nigerian make some noise” “If you’re proud to […]
Hahahahahahahahaha Not content with just spreading his unique brand of nonsense all over the United Kingdom, Capital Xtra’s resident Hip Hop DJ Tim ‘Big Dawg’ Westwood is now being encouraged/paid to spread the same nonsense across the motherland. First stop Nigeria.
Last week DJ 279 (also known as Numbers) officially announced that he had been “let go” by Choice FM (Click Here to read if you missed it). On Saturday night his replacement (rival/nemesis) Tim Westwood “blasted off” with his first ever Hip Hop/Rap show on Choice FM. In response to his axing DJ 279 spoke exclusively to The British Black List . I took a couple phone calls (on September 14) and people were like ‘Westwood’s gonna be joining Choice…”. Numbers received […]
Last night ‘the big dawg’ Tim Westwood said a sad farewell to BBC Radio after 20 years service and this morning it was officially announced that he will now be joining London’s number 1 “URBAN” station Choice FM. Starting next weekend, every Saturday from 9pm to 11pm, Tim will be playing the very best hip hop, from the latest cuts to massive anthems, to Choice FM’s 808,000 weekly listeners. “I got my big break courtesy of Richard Park. He gave me my […]
Sad news folks… it has been announced that Tim Westwood will be leaving BBC Radio (Radio 1 and 1xtra) after almost 20 years service. BBC Radio DJ Tim “Big Dawg” Westwood interviewed rapper Nicki Minaj last weekend after her performance at the Hackney Weekend music festival. In the interview below Tim continues to pretend (like most high profile DJs in the UK) that he is a huge Nicki Minaj fan and hypes her up to the fullest. All you can do is sit back, laugh and cringe while watching this. Hahahahahahahahahahahhaahhaha.
First he loses his BBC 1xtra weekday show to the “people’s prince” Charlie Sloth and now Tim Westwood has to endure the wrath of Iranian born rapper (who grew up in Margate) MIC Righteous in this scathing diss record titled ‘Sack City’. The track also features audio from an interview Tim did with Hip Hop legend KRS-One. Interestingly Righteous to my knowledge is the only UK rapper to actually go after the Big Dawg publicly and in this fashion. I guess he feels he’s got nothing to lose. Via The Lala Report […]
Last week it was announced that BBC Radio’s resident Hip Hop DJ Tim Westwood (54) will no longer be hosting his weekday BBC 1xtra show after September and is to be replaced by DJ Charlie Sloth. The new fresh and acceptable face of all things “URBAN” over at BBC Radio towers . Tim however is still a BBC employee and will still host his show on Saturday nights and a new show on Sundays. But the “Big Dawg” seems unhappy with the changes and recently told Pappzd, I think I was treated unfairly… I don’t know why, they just don’t want me, I’ve still got […]
First his BBC 1xtra show is axed and now Proud2 have axed tonight’s Tim Westwood party. They're no Westwood party at Proud2 tonite! And I've been sacked from the day job. How many times get I get fired in a week? — IG: TimWestwoodTV (@TimWestwood) May 25, 2012 Fired from 1Xtra & sacked from Proud2 (no Westwood party tonite). Tryin to take the par with dignity — IG: TimWestwoodTV (@TimWestwood) May 25, 2012 I wonder why this hugely popular event has been cancelled. […]
Tim “Big Dawg” Westwood announced today via Twitter that his BBC 1xtra week day show has been axed. It's official I've lost my afternoon voice due to schedule changes I will not be presentin 1Xtra Mon-Fri 4-7pm from Sept — IG: TimWestwoodTV (@TimWestwood) May 24, 2012 Westwood then went on to say that he has been “fired” but that’s a slight exaggeration. He still has his Saturday night show on BBC Radio 1 and his “daggering” road show” will still pass through […]
