Photograph: REUTERS Pop star Madonna holds Mercy, the little girl who she desperatly wants to adopt. The singer’s agent released this photograph to the media several days ago. So many thoughts ran through my head when I first spotted this photograph yesterday. Here are four of those thoughts. 1) They could have at least waited until Mercy was awake before taking this photograph. 2) The expression on that little boy’s face is priceless. 3) Madonna sitting amongst the “natives” and cradling a child just reminds me […]

He received the award for his visionary leadership of ‘Water For Life’ project, and for his partnership with the United Nations. I remember the ‘Water For Life’ project fronted by Jay. MTV covered the whole event. About a year and a half ago he embarked on a lucrative tour which covered Europe and then Africa. In Africa he ventured in to various poverty stricken regions with his […]

Today while walking past one of the many black hair and beauty stores scattered around the South East London area, a particular brand of hair oil displayed in the store’s front window caught my attention. Several weeks ago I visited the hair salon and my hairdresser/owner of the salon suggested that I use the same brand, and as luck would have it, she had some in stock. I was all set to purchase a small tub of it, but upon hearing her price promptly changed my mind. As far as I am concerned, charging […]
