No surprises here….. Via BBC News Newly-crowned X Factor queen Alexandra Burke has topped the Christmas singles chart with Hallelujah. Burke won the battle for Christmas number one ahead of the late Jeff Buckley, whose version of the same song was in second place. It is 51 years since the same song sat at numbers one and two, and the first time ever at Christmas. Take That Robbie Williams This FOOL spent the best part of a decade bad mouthing his former band members and laughing at their misfortunes, after his solo career took off in to the stratosphere. But it all went sour didn’t it Robbie in 04/05 when you released that “Hip Hop” inspired mess ‘Rude Box’, and things went down hill from there. Giggs Head of MTV Base Jasmine Dotiwala UK rapper Giggs has accused BBC Radio and MTV Base of blacklisting his music and even released a track/video (The Last Straw) blasting both broadcasters. But now the Head of MTV Base/Mariah’s gal pal/media chick about town Jasmine Dotiwala, and 1Xtra executive producer and events manager Ray Paul have both issued statements refuting these allegations. Giggs – The BET UK Award winner has lashed out at the UK industry by releasing a you tube video naming the industry executives in the European market he believes are trying to stop his career from growing.
