UK MUSIC: CLEOPATRA – GET IN FIT IN

90s singing group/siblings Cleopatra have returned to the music scene and in February performed their new single ‘Get In Fit In’ live on stage, in what looks like an nightclub (probably based way out in Essex). The group appeared on UK Living’s ‘Pop Goes The Band’ and each recieved a make over/plastic surgery. So can somebody please tell me why they look like this? Who is their stylist??????? The hair, the outfits…. I mean WTF???? HUGE SIGH* [Thank Nessa] Your thoughts please…..

JIM JONES/KERI HILSON – FIRST WEEK SALES

Rapper Jim Jones’ latest album Pray IV Reign (EI/Columbia/Sony) has entered the Billboard album chart at No.9 and sold 43,000 (first week sales). Keri Hilson’s debut album In a Perfect World went in at No. 4 and sold 94,000 (first weeks sales). Jim sold more when he was just signed solely to an independent label. It hurts me to say this but to be brutally honest I think his album will be out of the top 10 come next week. Popular men’s magazine King has folded. Click here to read more…. Well another print publication bites the dust! I am sorry to see King go, that magazine was shear class and the articles/interviews were out of this world!!! So what will all those ‘talented’ and shapely video vixens/D-list actresses/singers do now? Well at least Smooth Magazine is still here to save the day.

REGGAE SINGER LUCIANO CHARGED WITH HARBOURING A FUGITIVE

Via BBC News Reggae singer Luciano has been charged with harbouring a fugitive who shot and wounded three police officers, Jamaican police have said. Police Superintendent McArthur Sutherland said the 44-year-old – real name Jepther McClymont – was charged and released after posting bail. The stand-off last week ended with the fugitive gunman, Andrew Senior, being  killed at Luciano’s home in Kingston. Two of the injured officers are still being treated in hospital. Oh dear….smh….

Via Digital Spy Jade Goody could be immortalised by a statue in Bermondsey, it has emerged. A number of fans have written to council heads and urged them to commemorate the reality TV star, who  last week, The Mirror reports. I know her last album struggled to do as well as she hoped, but I never actually saw this coming…. Former Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland has reportedly been dropped by her record label, just months after firing her manager, father of her former bandmate, Beyonce Knowles. Via The Sunday Mirror Madonna was yesterday accused by the leading children’s charity of conducting a “puppy parade” over her plan to adopt a second child from Malawi. The singer is due to arrive in the African country tomorrow in an attempt to adopt a four-year-old girl called Mercy James.
