Yesterday I posted the news that Britain’s leading black newspaper (for 30 years) The Voice had been denied press accreditation to cover the 2012 games. However a letter from the BOA (British Olympic Association) states that the request has apparently been added to their “waiting list”.
News that the highly respected and prominent African-Caribbean publication had been denied access in to the Olympic stadium has now gone viral (the BOA didn’t see this coming) and now an online petition has been set up.
Even if the decision is revoked for one would still like to know WHY The Voice team’s request for press accreditation was denied in the first place.
