VYBZ KARTEL SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON FOR MURDER

Dancehall artist Vybz Kartel (real name Adidja Palmer) has been sentenced to life in prison for murder. A jury found 38-year-old Palmer guilty of the death of associate Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams. Williams was killed after being asked to Kartel’s home to discuss two missing illegal hand guns. His body has never been found. A 15-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of 15-year-old school girl Shereka Fab-Ann Marsh. Shereka was fatally shot in the neck on Saturday (March 22) at a house in Hackney Wick. The teen will appear today (March 24) at Stratford Magistrates Court. It has been reported that BBC TV presenter Komla Dumor has died at his home in London. He was 41 years old. Ghana-born Dumor was a presenter for BBC World News and its Focus on Africa programme. One of Ghana’s best-known journalists, he joined the BBC as a radio broadcaster in 2007 after a decade of journalism in Ghana. The IPCC (Independent Police Complaints Commission) has apologised to Mark Duggan’s family for “wrongly” telling the media he had fired at police before he was shot dead in 2011.
