British R&B star Estelle has seen her single American Boy plummet down the US chart after her latest album, Shine, was taken off iTunes in the States. Record label Warner made the move to force fans to buy the whole album, not just individual songs, reports said. American Boy, featuring Kanye West, was UK number one for a month in March. Juelz Santana a long with his fellow Dipset brethren (sadly my Jim Jim wasn’t there) performed at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Sunday (August 31st), and rumour has it, he was robbed. According to sources the Harlem rapper’s jewellery was stolen over the weekend, and it was revenge for shafting several promoters out of 70k in the past. More than 1,500 riot police were attacked with missiles as they encircled 180 youths who planned violence at the Notting Hill Carnival. Scenes turned nasty outside the Oval cricket ground in south London as the pre-emptive swoop took place and running street battles started.
