The mighty Shawn Carter aka Jay-Z aka J-Hova aka Hov aka elder statesmen aka just plain annoying has teamed up with the even mightier Samsung.  The rapper’s 12th album will be available to Samsung Galaxy users 72 hours before its official release on July 4th. The Wall Street Journal reports that Samsung paid $5 for each album download, which means Jay-Z will be the first artist to have a platinum album before it’s  been released. *rolls eyes* Anyway check out the commercial below announcing Jay-Z’s earth […]

Former Marcy Projects waste man Shawn Carter aka Jay-Z treats fans to a behind the scenes look at the creation of his Barclays Center opening shows, which took place earlier this year. For Jay-Z hero worshippers this documentary is probably up there with watching the late great Michael Jackson working behind the scenes preparing for his legendary BAD concerts. But for individuals like myself this documentary is duller than dirty dish water. Same old Jay *yawn*.

Jay-Z’s neighbours are currently jumping for joy after the rapper purchased a generator  for their hurricane hit apartment building. According to Page Six Jigga along with his wife and child fled the building before Hurricane Sandy hit New York to stay in the lavish Mandarin Oriental Hotel. But a thoughtful Jay decided to help out his neighbours by supplying them with a generator. The grateful residents now think the Angel Gabriel has returned in the form of the Jigga Man and refer to him as their “guardian angel” for helping them out. […]
