BRITISH BLACK PANTHER EXHIBITION

An exhibition presenting the legacy of the British Black Panther movement will be coming to Brixton in October. Taking place at the Photofusion Gallery during Black History Month, the show will feature current portraits of Panther members and archive photographs shot by Neil Kenlock, the official photographer of the British Black Panther Movement.  A documentary film will also accompany the exhibition. UK NEWS: THE METRO NEWSPAPER’S 50 TOP BLACK HEROES

What with it being Black History Month in the UK, The Metro newspaper have compiled their very own list of 50 top black heroes. Readers can help crown this year’s winner in a contest organised by Metro and  City Hall to mark Black History Month. Mayor of London Boris  Johnson has urged people to vote for their heroes from a shortlist ranging  from campaigners and religious leaders to sports stars and musicians.
