AllHipHop reports that Hip Hop pioneer DJ Kool Herc (real name Clive Campbell) is currently in the hospital suffering from an unknown health condition. According to Gangstarr’s DJ Premier, Kool Herc’s health is deteriorating and he is in need of financial assistance, because he reportedly doesn’t have health insurance. It has been announced that reformed boy band Blue will represent the UK at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest. The four piece will perform the self-written song I Can at the annual competition, which will take place in May in Dusseldorf, Germany. Formed in 2000, Blue split in 2004 to concentrate on solo careers and reformed in 2009. The band has sold more than 13 million records, and have also won two Brit Awards.
