BBC 1 Xtra presenter Sarah-Jane “I bridge the gap between middle England and the street” Crawford, graces the front cover of The Sun’s weekly ‘glossy’ Fabulous Magazine. According to Fabulous Sarah-Jane is one of the ‘future stars of music, TV and comedy’ and she will also ‘rock your world’. It always makes me laugh when the media attempts to tell us what is cool and who we should embrace. Anyway congratulations Sarah-Jane.

A misleading article published on The Guardian website has angered actor Noel Clarke. According to blogger and film critic Ben Child, Clarke’s horror flick Storage 24 was America’s lowest grossing film of 2013. The MehmeFemi’s is a sitcom about two culturally different families living in South London. The two families become neighbours when the Olafemi’s ( Nigerian family) move in next door to the Mehmet’s (Turkish family). The MehmeFemi’s did make me chuckle. I look forward to seeing how it develops.

Via BBC News Mark Duggan, whose death sparked riots in England in 2011, was lawfully killed by police, an inquest jury has concluded by a majority of 8 to 2. The 29-year-old was shot dead by armed officers in August 2011 in Tottenham, north London. Following the inquest at the Royal Courts of Justice, his aunt Carole Duggan said her nephew had been “executed”.
