BBC News reports that South African president Jacob Zuma has announced that Nelson Mandela has sadly passed away. He was 95 years old. “Our nation has lost its greatest son,” Mr Zuma said. Rest In Peace Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela. Freedom fighter.

Musician Goldie has joined the campaign to ban destructive deep-sea trawling. On December 10, the European Parliament will vote on a raft of new regulations on deep-sea fishing.
