It’s been reported that actor Idris Elba is filming a second series of the hit dark psychological crime drama Luther. Luther is brilliant! I am glad the BBC recommissioned it. This also gives Idris the time to focus on what he is good at, ACTING not rapping. Click HERE to read more about Luther. [Thanks Harlem Loves]

According to the Daily Mirror rapper 50 Cent has “the hots” for ex-Shadow Home Secretary turned Strictly Come Dancing star Ann Widdecombe. Journalist (and I use the term loosely) Emma Fox claims that Fiddy (35) said this, I’m watching the show and am a big fan of Ann Widdecombe – that girl is hot. She is like Susan Boyle, man, she doesn’t conform to the way society says you should look, and there is something very hot about that in a woman. […]

MTV UK reports that Jay-Z has given X-Factor contestant Cher Lloyd the thumbs up, for her irritating renditions of his hit singles Hard Knock Life and Empire State Of Mind. Click HERE and HERE watch. According to the website Jay allegedly said, “I was very impressed with her version of Hard Knock Life. It should be a track on her debut album and I would happily add my lyrics to it. I could get myself, Kanye West, Beyoncé and Rihanna all working […]

UK rappers Giggs and Tinchy Stryder have bulked up their current accounts after appearing in the new PS3 commercial, alongside Sugababes group member Amelle Berrabah. Check out the commercial below. From spitting the now “immortal” line “Niggas looking at me like I passed wind” to starring in a PS3 commercial. Wow… Giggs sure has come a long way.

YouTube is a BEAST! I couldn’t believe my luck when I found footage of the classic early 90s (circa 1990/1991) BBC 2 music show Dance Energy, hosted by Normski. If my memory serves me correctly Dance Energy used to air after the Fresh Prince Of Bell Air on a Monday/Tuesday nights at 6.30pm. I made sure I never missed this show. I just loved sitting and watching the audience dance. This brings back memories. Check out the footage below. Awwww those were […]

Last night (against my better judgement) I watched the “‘nation’s sweetheart” / fraud Cheryl Cole pour her heart out to Piers Morgan. I’ve always respected Piers Morgan but he let himself down last night. It was made clear from the offset that Piers thinks the sun shines out of Cheryl’s backside, so this interview was just set up to help preserve Saint Cheryl’s reputation post Gamugate. Plus she’s about to release a new single. Cheryl bawled while discussing her harrowing battle with […]

UK rapper Giggs was interviewed before his surprise appearance on stage at the MOBO Awards (Music Of Black Origin) on Thursday night. At the beginning of this footage it says ‘Giggs chats to Max’, but it should actually say ‘Max chats to Giggs’, because she’s the one doing most of the chatting. I’ve come to the conclusion that Giggs is shy and a nervous wreck when being interviewed, which explains the one/two word answers. I think his label should fly him over to the States and send […]

Most of you will know by now that I don’t have much time for rap/grime acts from these shores (bar a few) but this performance (believe it or not) was the only highlight (for soooooooo many reasons ha ha) of an other wise uneventful and painful evening. I would like to hear Jay-Z, Eminem, Fabolous and Kanye rapping over this beat. Anyway your thoughts on the performance please. Hit or Miss?

This is just a reminder to all my UK-based visitors… The MOBO Awards will air live on BBC 3 tonight (20th October) at 9pm. However it will clash with The Apprentice (over on BBC 1 at 9pm). I love that show and Lord Sugar, but I feel I have a duty to tune in to the car crash over on BBC 3. In other news… It’s been reported that X-Factor reject Gamu Nhengu will appear on stage to sing alongside boy band JLS.
