Jamal Edwards (founder of popular online broadcaster SBTV) today announced via Twitter that Channel 4 who earlier this year aired a one off documentary titled Inside SBTV, now want to turn it in to a series. UK TV: DOCUMENTARY – HOW HIP HOP CHANGED THE WORLD

Idris Elba reveals the defining moments in street music and culture over the last 35 years, featuring rare archive material, seminal music videos and insight from Hip Hop stars. The documentary airs on Channel 4,  Friday August 12th, 10.25pm I just hope Idris has the good sense to stay away from the mic during this documentary. I don’t want to hear him rapping again.

UK NEWS: BBC SET TO MEET WITH PRODUCERS OF BRITISH-NIGERIAN ONLINE SITCOM MEET THE ADEBANJO’S

Just a month after launching their new sitcom independently online and receiving widespread media attention, the BBC has quickly arranged to meet the producers of Meet the Adebanjo’s to discuss picking it up for season 2. Only this week the Metro newspaper featured Meet the Adebanjo’s as what’s good to watch online and the producers believe it’s the result of the widespread interest in the sitcom which has made the BBC arrange a meeting for the 1st August.
