Sad news folks… it has been announced that Tim Westwood will be leaving BBC Radio (Radio 1 and 1xtra) after almost 20 years service. Via BBC Newsbeat DJ Tim Westwood is leaving BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra as part of a schedule update. His Saturday night show, which is currently broadcast simultaneously on Radio 1 and 1Xtra at 9pm, is being cut. Earlier this year former footballer and anti-racism campaigner Paul Elliott (48) dramatically resigned from all of his positions within the Football Association after it was revealed he called ex-Charlton player and former friend Richard Rufus a “nigger” during an argument over a failed business venture. Via The Guardian Greek police investigating the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old British tourist on Crete have charged a man with the killing. Myles Litchmore-Dunbar,19, has been charged with the murder of Tyrell Matthews-Burton as well as possession of a weapon. Police attributed the murder to gang violence between rival groups in Britain.
