More than 1,500 riot police were attacked with missiles as they encircled 180 youths who planned violence at the Notting Hill Carnival. Scenes turned nasty outside the Oval cricket ground in south London as the pre-emptive swoop took place and running street battles started. Dr Dre I was holding back from posting this news story, because it could have been just another bad Internet rumour doing the rounds. But sadly this story is true….. “The son of legendary rap producer Dr Dre has been found dead at his home in Woodland Hills on Saturday morning. Andre Young Jr. 20, was unresponsive when his mother went to check on him around 10 A.M., calling 911 to alert paramedics. Chart topping rapper Da Brat was sentenced to three years in prison today (August 22), after being charged with assault for hitting a woman in the face with a bottle of rum. The prison sentence stems from a November 2007 incident, in which Da Brat, born Shawntae Harris, argued with Shala Stevens, a waitress working at Jermaine Dupri’s Club 72.
