JAY-Z PERFORMS AT OBAMA CAMPAIGN EVENT WHILE BEYONCE GETS MINION TO PEN AN ‘OPEN LETTER’ TO THE PRESIDENT

Musicians mixing it up with politicians and performing at their campaign events is a highly amusing sight. It’s all so showbizzy. Check out former Marcy Projects waste man turned rapper, turned mogul, turned close friend to politicians Jay-Z, performing the track 99 Problems at President Obama’s last campaign event before America decides who sits in the Oval Office tomorrow. …. *cringe* And while Jigga performed his wife Beyonce was busy at home instructing one of her minions to devise/write an ‘open letter’ to the President. Hahahahaha. Jigga, 99 Problems, Springsteen,  gushing open letters []

VIDEO: HOW IMPORTANT IS BLACK HISTORY MONTH IN BRITAIN

For those of you who don’t know here in Britain Black History Month is “celebrated” in October, so last month UK 360 pounded the streets to find out what the public really think about Black History Month. One young woman featured admits that she couldn’t care less about Black History Month and I wouldn’t expect you to luv. Hahahaha. Rapper Akala is also featured. I simply adore that man. He isn’t afraid to speak the truth on a public forum and talks a lot of sense. The man is no coward. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=CO2qGKNeXts#! … Your thoughts please…..

UK TV: EMMERDALE CASTS BLACK FAMILY- WAKING THE DEAD STAR WIL JONHSON JOINS SOAP

It has been announced that former Waking The Dead star Wil Johnson will join ITV 1 soap Emmerdale as a regular cast member. Johnson will play mechanic Dominic Andrews a single parent, accompanied by his wayward teenage daughter Gemma (played by 14-year-old Tendai Rinomhota). He said: “I can’t wait to get started. I am looking forward to an exciting journey. I’ve been told anything could happen with my character.” [Thanks Charlene] I have watched Emmerdale on and off throughout the years and to my knowledge the []

UK ANTICS: WILEY ADMITS HIS MOBO PERFORMANCE WAS POOR

For those of you who missed it the annual MOBO (Music of Black Orgin) Awards took place last night in Liverpool and UK artist Wiley performed his hit single Heatwave donning a rather fetching sequinned black top. But after watching his performance Wiley is far from happy. I am not gonna lie i did not like that mobo performance …..vocals are off beat tbh… — Wiley (@WileyUpdates) November 4, 2012 That was the worst performance ever … — Wiley (@WileyUpdates) November 4, 2012 ….This is the right performance not MOBO….Wiley []

MOBO AWARDS 2012 – THE WINNERS / MY THOUGHTS

The highly anticipated MOBO (Music of Black Origin) Awards opened with the Jay-Z and Kanye West track ‘Niggas In Paris’ playing in the background (you couldn’t make it up) while a group of female dancers took to the stage and failed to dance in synch with each other in front of a subdued audience. Then came the odd couple, show hosts former T4 presenter Miquita Oliver and actor Adam Deacon who in my opinion just didn’t gel well together. Miquita did her usual sarcastic/patronising presenting style routine []

VIDEO: BBC BREAKFAST – RACISM IN FOOTBALL (BLACK FOOTBALL PLAYERS UNION)

This segment featuring David Neita (Barrister and Campaigner) aired last week on BBC Breakfast. … I was surprised to see former player Les Ferdinand all up in the camera talking so freely about racism in this segment. During his playing days I don’t remember him saying a damn thing about racism in the game when it mattered. Old cockney boy was mute and busy running around with blond TV presenter/IT girl of the 90s Dani Behr. Anyway I like David and admire his passion but does he truly believe that black/mixed race players will publicly support a ‘Black []
