VIDEO: BBC BREAKFAST – RACISM IN FOOTBALL (BLACK FOOTBALL PLAYERS UNION)

This segment featuring David Neita (Barrister and Campaigner) aired last week on BBC Breakfast.

I was surprised to see former player Les Ferdinand all up in the camera talking so freely about racism in this segment. During his playing days I don’t remember him saying a damn thing about racism in the game when it mattered. Old cockney boy was mute and busy running around with blond TV presenter/IT girl of the 90s Dani Behr.

Anyway I like David and admire his passion but does he truly believe that black/mixed race players will publicly support a ‘Black Football Players Union? For the Union to be a success he will need their support, but unfortunately the majority of them are cowards and lost causes.

An example of a coward and a lost cause Ashley ‘shoe shine’ Cole

And as for working to ‘eradicate racism’…. I wish you the best of luck with that David.

Your thoughts please……

  1. His first job is to teach the black footballers about racism in football. If not, he is going alone with it all minus the footballers. Wait for calamity to happen first then have his proof. But after the Terry incident, calamity might not be enough.

But good luck with the project.

  2. The problem is, racism isn’t taken serious in football, the mangers look at racism like sexism, they think it doesn’t exist because they can’t see it and even if they see it does exist they give a damn and think people should just on get on with it, the only time they really move on it, is if they have a wife who is black etc
