LONDON RIOTS: MAN JAILED FOR FURNITURE STORE ARSON

Via BBC News A looter has been jailed for 11-and-a-half years for starting a fire which destroyed a family-run furniture shop in south London in the summer riots. Gordon Thompson, 34, stole a laptop from the House of Reeves in Croydon on 8 August before setting fire to a sofa. 18 YEAR OLD WOMAN PLUNGES TO HER DEATH IN SOUTH-EAST LONDON DURING POLICE RAID

Via The Voice An eighteen year old woman has died after falling from the 17th floor of a block of flats during a police raid in Woolwich, south-east London, this morning. Police had entered the tower block on Mulgrave Road at 9.30am to carry out an arrest enquiry and shortly after their entrance the woman fell from a bedroom window located on the 17th floor. UK NEWS: MAN STABBED AT PRIVATE BLACKBERRY EVENT DIES

A man stabbed at a private celebrity packed party organised by mobile phone giant BlackBerry on April 4th has died. Via BBC News Father-of-two Phillip Sherriff, 37, a telecommunications worker from Preston, Lancashire, was attacked in Pulse nightclub, Southwark, on 4 April. Singer Jessie J had performed at the club earlier in the evening and several other celebrities were in the venue at the time.
