22-year-old UK blogger Keith aka Mr Exposed has become quite the “controversial” figure on Twitter over the past couple of weeks thanks to his anti-dark skinned women tweets (Apparently all tweeted in jest).

Well as you can imagine Mr Exposed tweets didn’t go down too well in some quarters and in response to the backlash a dark-skinned Mr Exposed has posted the following blog post titled Lighten Up Ladies.

I am a man that has never been the type to discriminate against women because of their skin colour, except for white women, solely because the last one I tried to sample, nearly died on me & we all know how cases like that end! A white girl dies, half naked, in the presence of a tough faced black man like myself & you think they won’t gift wrap an attempted rape & murder charge & hand deliver it to my front door? My muscles are for stunting, not prison. Interestingly enough many of those virtual pats on the back have also come from young dark-skinned women who shout he is “THE TRUTH” and totally agree with his views.

Yup I read this joke of a blog last night, whilst he did bring up some points his experiment wasn’t that he just said he preferred light-skinned women but he was bashing and out-right spewing vermin about dark-skinned women. He thought that the girls and boys who didn’t see the funny side to his ‘experiment’ were mad because he said he preferred light-skinned women, not the part where he was being straight-up ignorant. This sudden rise against black women have become a trend on twitter and slowly I’m starting to get turned off by it all and what angers me the most are the same dark-skinned girls who try to co-sign and laugh-off such tweets so that they don’t look like the ‘angry black woman’. Sorry but I was offended by those tweets and I failed to find his blog funny or ‘on-point’ either.

The breakdown of the respect and relationship between black men and women are at the root cause of the problems of our community. People have their preferences yes, but to berate people that aren’t your type is a big probem for me and no-one does it more publicly than black people – our flaws as a people and our self -hatred is soo globally transparent it’s embarrasing and makes me sick…. In conclusion, any sensible woman would not want a guy who likes them just because they happen to be the right hue…so to assume that light skin women are flattered by often being preferred is just as ignorant as assuming that dark skins girls are mad at being passed over….

There was nothing controversial or ground breaking about those tweets because bashing black women is just reinforcing the status quo. I’m reading the comments and I assume 99% of you are black women. Maybe some of the things he said could have been said differently, some of the points that were raised, were very valid. I’m not denying the fact that my mother is a “strong black woman” but I notice some behaviours that are described here, and half of you won’t see it in yourselves anyway. I observe a lot of black females who think its ok to insult another race, “white people need to season their meat” or “why do black men like white women when they can’t cook, can’t fuck and have no bums” like a black man isn’t allowed preference. When you have that kind of attitude, who wants to be with you anyway?
Hardly any of you agreed with at least some of the statements he made. You all got defensive and saw it as an attack instead of thinking that there was some truth in the article. People are allowed to voice their opinions, if you don’t fall into the category being described, why get defensive? If a black female wrote and article about black men saying we’re all useless, love white women and can’t look after children, which is what we hear from black women. @someblackguy I previously said that he made points but its his alleged research that grinds my gears. Had he had just said ‘I prefer women of a lighter complexion’ I wouldn’t have been mad….its his preference and that doesn’t affect my life in any way. Its the fact that he was tweeting borderline hate-comments that didn’t need to have to be tweeted in the first place. His blog would have been worth some salt had his research been accurate but it wasn’t, so that’s why the outraged occurred….well at least that’s what my problem was.
