After surpassing half a million views online, black British sitcom Meet The Adebanjos will now air on Sky this Christmas.
New episodes of the series have been picked up by VOX Africa TV (Sky 218) and will air on Fridays at 8.30pm.
Fans of the show are set to be in for a real treat with a Christmas and New Year double episode special.
Executive producer Debra Odutuyo says of the show’s success,
“The response has been amazing. People can’t get enough of this fresh new comedy. We have been featured in Metro Newspaper and The Voice, had interviews with BBC Five Live, BBC London and BBC Scotland and on hundreds of websites and blogs. After 5years of pitching this show to TV networks I never gave up on my dream andit is overwhelming to see how much of a household name the show has become.
The show will air in Uganda and the US this Christmas and will also launch in Nigeria in January.

No. But the BBC expressed some interest after the episodes aired online and there was a meeting with executives.
