Via BBC News Two cinema chains say, on police advice, they will not show a film about gang culture made in Birmingham. 1DAY follows the violent life of two inner city gangs and was filmed in the Handsworth area, starring local people. Odeon and Cineworld said they would not show the movie, due for national release on 6 November, in Birmingham. UK NEWS: NIGERIAN SUICIDE CHILD RELEASED

  Via The Evening Standard A 10 year old Nigerian girl who attempted suicide after being detained in a Gatwick immigration centre for a second time has been released with her mother on the orders of Home Secretary Alan Johnson. British reggae artist Maxi Priest has been completely off the radar for sometime now. So let me be the first to congratulate him on his return back into the media’s spotlight. Via Entertainment Daily British reggae star MAXI PRIEST has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend. The musician, who enjoyed hits with a cover of Cat Stevens’ Wild World and a duet with Shaggy, reportedly attacked a former lover after she caught him in a car with another woman. No longer on a one woman quest to rid the African continent of it’s children, superstar Madonna flew in to Malawi and donned dark shades yesterday as she marked the construction of a new school for girls.
