MADONNA FLIES IN TO MALAWI TO MARK CONSTRUCTION OF NEW SCHOOL FOR GIRLS

No longer on a one woman quest to rid the African continent of it’s children, superstar Madonna flew in to Malawi and donned dark shades yesterday as she marked the construction of a new school for girls.

Anyone would think Queen Elizabeth II was paying the country a visit…

Would it not have made more sense to wait until the building is actually standing and then mark it’s opening???

Anyway well done Madge!

  1. Janice, no one came up and said, you know what Maddona, i will look after this kid. It’s important for kids to grow in their known surrounding but no one, even the african elites could come up and take responsibility, yet they would easily have been given adoption. I keep defending this woman, God forbid it should run out of control, but when i see some fools erecting mansions at the expense of a child’s future and education using donated money, and some other fools using the face of poor children/poverty to collect money for their own use as well in the name of charity, i just wonder. This is just my obsession with charity, it’s a give and take in the end. There’s no free meal.

  2. Not every one in Malawi is poor. Those kids she took could be looked after no problem if they felt so strongly about them staying. But now look, a school for the two children.

  3. This is one of those situations where you have to pick the lesser evil, not because it is better. Charity has an ugly side to it. One of the worst cases is when they give aid in return for change of policies in a particular government. How are people going to take it seriously when they have given in return? It’s a game. A lack of honesty to those who donate their money is quite frustrating, because they do not know how their money is used. Alot of money disappears, starting straight away from donor countries, by the time it gets to where it’s supposed to…… Not all charity is bad but.
