DJ AM and Travis Barker
Former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and DJ AM were critically injured Friday night after a Learjet crashed in South Carolina, killing four other people. Two plane crew members and two passengers were slain in the accident just before midnight following an performance. Barker and DJ AM (real name Adam Goldstein) have been admitted to an Augusta, Georgia burn unit. Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said air traffic controllers saw sparks coming from the plane shortly before midnight. The Learjet veered off the runway and crashed on the highway adjacent to the airport. Goldstein, former fiance’ of Nicole Richie, performed as bandmate to the post Blink-182 drummer Barker under the group name TRVSDJ-AM. Barker has worked with several notable Hip-Hop artists. Most recently, he collaborated with The Game on his new album L.A.X. and has remixed songs by artists ranging from Soulja Boy to Busta Rhymes.
The victims who perished in the crash were Sarah Lemmon, 31, co-pilot James Bland, Chris Baker, 29 and Charles Still, 25.
