TRACK OF THE DAY: PODGY FIGURES – ‘PODGY’

I was first introduced to the sounds of UK rapper Podgy Figures back in 2005. I think he saw himself as being Britain’s answer to 50 Cent and had a relatively large fan base….. Any way a friend emailed me his 2005 track ‘Podgy’ and I became instantly hooked. I still have it downloaded on my ipod. Whenever I hear this track I just double up with laughter. I could be having the WORST day but this track always manages to bring on huge belly laugh. It’s hilariously bad. I []

Does the resurgence of White female soul singers in England, such as Amy Winehouse and Adele, have a positive or negative effect on a Black female soul artist from the U.K.?  “I think it has a negative effect.
