‘LOVE & HIP HOP’ – THE UK VERSION APPARENTLY COMING SOON…..

When I first spotted the news on Twitter (where it all goes down these days) that there were plans to make a UK version of the hit US VH1 “reality” show Love & Hip Hop I thought it was a joke (I still do). But  they are in the process of casting for the show. So far America has brought us Love & Hip Hop (New York) and Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. I tried to watch the original show but lasted five minutes. I find it hard to []

MTV VMA 2008 LIVE BLOG

The MTV Video Music Awards 2008 took place in Los Angeles last night, and here is a live blog covering the night’s events courtesy of Rolling Stone. READ I knew that British host/comedian Russell Brand would bomb. Russell’s crude sense of humour is just way out there, and goes over most people’s heads, so I don’t understand why they chose him to host this year’s ceremony in front of a huge American audience. VIACOM WINS RIGHT TO ACCESS YOUTUBE RECORDS

Google has been ordered to surrender the data of users that watch YouTube videos, including videos streamed on other websites, to Viacom. The ruling was made by Judge Stanton of the federal court for the Southern District of New York. YouTube user data now available to Viacom includes usernames, videos viewed and IP addresses, which Viacom can use to identify some individuals through ISPs – making users potentially liable for copyrighted material they consumed, the same way the RIAA pursued peer-to-peer file sharers.
