Former X-Factor contestents JLS have released the video to their highly anticipated debut single Beat Again In my opinion JLS as a group have always been incredibly WEAK and Beat Again just sounds like a track that NSYNC would have recorded back in 2000. But it will probably go down a storm with the teeny boppers…. What do you all think? Hit or Miss?
UK NEWS: THE METRO FEATURES EDITOR RESPONDS TO BASHY CRITICISM / THREATENS TO BAN INTERVIEWS WITH ‘MINORITY SUBJECTS’
I reported earlier on that a journalist working for The Metro newspaper faced a wave of criticism today, after he asked UK rapper Bashy if he thought “music was a way out for young black people now, like boxing used to be”, during an interview. Since then the newspaper has received a wave of complaint emails and reader Susan Younis has kindly forwarded me the response email she received from The Metro’s Feature Editor Kieran Meeke. Hi Susan Thank you for your letter and my apologies that you found the question […]

This is the official video for Mz Bratt’s debut single ‘Who Do You Think You Are’. The video has a number of featured cameo’s, but as most of you already know, I don’t really pay that much attention to what goes on within the world of UK ‘urban’ entertainment, so I only recognise one or two faces… and Mz Bratt. (lol) I actually like this track. I think it’s really catchy, and something that I would play in the summer while sitting […]
Rapper Dizzee Rascal has knocked The Black Eyed Peas off the top of the UK singles chart. His single Bonkers a collaboration with DJ Armand Van Helden, debuted at number one after becoming the fastest-selling single of the year so far earlier this week. I don’t really understand why Bonkers is so popular BUT congratulations Dizzee.
Several days ago UK rapper/BET Best UK Hip Hop winner Giggs crossed my mind. I wondered what had happened to him because all had gone quiet on the music front, and I hadn’t received any more emails attacking me for not being one of his biggest supporters. But then the new track ‘Slow Songs’ featuring The Streets was brought to my attention [Thanks Melissa]. Mike Skinner (The Streets) also produced the track, which will officially drop later on in the year. I […]

The video is made in the style of an early Busta Rhymes video (circa 1995 – 1998). Only Bussa Buss could pull it off! I haven’t had a chance to listen to this track yet so can’t comment. So your thoughts please…..
Check out the debut single ‘Burnin Up’ and video from UK artist Orie. Your thoughts please…
