Rapper Chipmunk’s single ‘Oopsy Daisy’ has gone straight in at number 1 in the UK Chart. Congratulations Chipmunk. Live the dream…..
UK artist Pound Sterling reminds me of 50 Cent (circa 2003 image) and this video /track is just the UK version of Fiddy’s ‘I Get Money’. Hmmmm.. the production isn’t bad. Do you know what? Pound Sterling, the track, the tired video concept, the whole ‘let’s pretend I’m a rich American rapper’ vibe, and the Pound Sterling sign tatooed on his left peck, I find it all highly amusing! I love it! LOL! [Thanks K] Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?
The word on the Twitter street is that the highly anticipated Brrrap Pack Tour featuring a host of UK “Urban” acts has been cancelled. Sources say the venues insurance costs were too high, and that ‘s the reason behind the tours sudden cancellation. Oh dear not even backing from that tabloid rag The Sun could save this baby.
When questioned about those pesky gay rumours, members from boy-band JLS had this to say.. Via Gay Times Magazine Rumours that one or more members of the band are gay, Aston says, “We always get the same thing from straight guys. Just because we like to take care of ourselves and get a lot of female attention, they’re first response is ‘you’re gay’.” Marvin: “I met a girl in a club recently who was convinced that we were all gay – just […]
British group The Noisettes recently performed on The Letterman Show. Brilliant performance. I love this woman!
Production team Perempay & Dee have teamed up with songstress Shola Ama and produced the uptempo track ‘DJ Play’. I quite like the track. It’s catchy and I’ve always liked Shola’s voice. I’m glad she’s back. But I’m not that keen on the new blond look. As for the video..well after watching it I just have one question… who the hell thought it would be a good idea to feature JACK TWEED (Jade Goody’s waste man widower) in the video??? (from mark 0.35). […]
UK “super” group N-Dubz are back folks, with the their new single “I Need You”. I just don’t understand it.. what is it about N-Dubz? Why do the kids love them so??? I’m baffled right now…. Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?
This news surprised me. I didn’t think she would win. Via BBC News Rapper Speech Debelle is the surprise winner of the Mercury Prize for the best British album of the past year. Her debut Speech Therapy, released last month, has not appeared in the UK album chart but sales will get a huge boost from her win. The 25-year-old, from south London, performed single The Key at the ceremony for the 18th Mercury Prize. Continue Reading….. Congratulations Speech Debelle. [Thanks AKS]
The single I Got Soul has been recorded to raise money for the charity War Child and features Tinchy Stryder, N-dubz, Pixie Lott, Kid British, V V Brown, amongst others. The single will be released on October 19th. It’s like Band Aid all over again. I half expected Bob Geldof to step out of the shadows. Anyway, it’s OK, but would have sounded a lot better had the producers decided to not feature rappers on the track. However hopefully I Got Soul will serve it’s purpose, which is […]
The track and the ‘dance’ has been a huge underground success and now we finally have a video to accompany the track, complete with UK A-lister guest cameos. It’s a fun video but I’m not a big fan of the track. And as for the dance… well… I think I’ll stick with the bogle and butterfly. Via The Social Writers Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss
