UK TV: CARLSBERG ENGLAND WORLD CUP COMMERCIAL

Well the 2010 World Cup is fast approaching, and next week promotion/marketing of the event which will take place in South Africa will go in to full effect. Check out the brand new England 2010 World Cup commercial from Carlsberg, featuring various sporting greats from the past. I would love for England to bring home the World Cup but when I look at the England squad, I just don’t see it happening.

Via BBC News South African runner Caster Semenya, whose gender was queried by athletics officials, has defended her looks and taken part in a makeover in a magazine. 800 METRE CHAMPION ASKED TO TAKE GENDER TEST

Via BBC News New world 800m champion Caster Semenya has been asked to take a gender test, according to athletics’ governing body. The International Association of Athletics Federations says it demanded the test three weeks ago amid fears she should not be able to run as a woman. IAAF spokesman Nick Davies said the “extremely complex, difficult” test results were not due for several weeks. The South African athletics federation insist it is “completely sure” that the 18-year-old Semenya is a female. []
