A singer dubbed the ‘Black Pavarotti’ died yesterday – just over a fortnight before he was due to open the World Cup alongside Nelson Mandela.
South African Siphiwo Ntshebe, 34, had been chosen by President Mandela to perform at the World Cup opening ceremony, with his signature anthem entitled Hope.
The track even features President Mandela speaking, which is the first time he has lent his voice to a record. Continue Reading…..

I felt so bad .I had to check various sources because I didn’t want to believe it. Phiwo was only 34 .I hope they will release some his recordings and videos.
being a music artiste myself, i know how it feels not to make it for a dream performance. this is one thing that will make any family go crazy. the fact is that i had seen this gentleman on tv, listened to him sing, and he is incredibly talented. the dexterity he uses to unleash his talent is incomparable. But God our creator knows best, and i hope that though we could not meet while you are alive, we will get to meet in heaven.
