POLICE SHUT DOWN DRAKE CONCERT IN NEW YORK

Rapper/singer Drake released his highly anticipated debut album Thank Me Later yesterday, and decided to throw a free concert in New York. However the concert was later cancelled when 25,000 people turned up and proceeded to lose their minds and acted the fool for no good reason. The crowd became unruly (fights broke out and rioting) which led to safety concerns. According to WABC in New York, the crowd for the concert, which also had the singing band of brothers Hanson on the bill, swelled to 25,000 people — more than double the []

CHRIS BROWN’S EUROPEAN TOUR CANCELED DUE TO DENIED ENTRY

It’s been reported that singer Chris Brown has been denied access into Europe, which has resulted in all of his shows being cancelled. Brown issued an apology to his fans  via Twitter which said, “SORRY to all the fans in europe!!! my tour is cancelled. I’m pretty sure y’all know. my entry was denied in your country. I love you. SORRY!!” So he’s been denied entry in to every European country? hmmmm I smell a case of poor ticket sales.

UK MUSIC: ANGHA FT DELE – FOR YOU

Check out British Hip Hop duo Angha and their debut single For You, featuring Dele. For You is a well produced track, but it sounds very familiar, and has that late 90s / early noughties American R&B/Hip Hop saccharine sweat fusion going on. It actually reminds me of Jennifer Lopez’s 2001 hit featuring Nas, I’m Gonna Be Alright. Click HERE to watch. And for some reason Ja Rule’s 2004 track New York. Click HERE to watch. Duo Angha sound okay, but for []

VIDEO: GINUWINE – TOUCH ME

R&B singer Ginuwine is back with the new single Touch Me. The track sounds dated (mid-90s vibe) but it isn’t bad. However the video, directed by Rik Cordero is TERRIBLE!!!! By the looks of things the budget for this video did not exceed $50.00 And what is going on with Ginuwine’s hair? Is he using the same product Jermaine Jackson uses to slick down his own hair? Oh dear…. [Thanks Brown Eyez/Social Writer Blog] Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?

VIDEO: TONI BRAXTON – YESTERDAY

Toni Braxton’s new single Yesterday will be released here in the UK on May 3rd, and her album Pulse will drop on May 10th. The single in my opinion sounds lacklustre. Toni’s other track Hands Tied is well produced and is a hundred times better than this. Yesterday (in parts) also sounds like Beyonce’s Halo. The video – It looks like it was hastily put together. Toni should fire her make-up artist, and it doesn’t look like much thought went in to []

VIDEO: CIARA FT LUDACRIS – RIDE

Ciara is back with the new single Ride, and seems to have gone back to being the old Ciara musically. more about “ciara“, posted with vodpod I really like Ride. I love the production and okay we all know that Ci Ci is no Whitney Houston (circa 1985-1999) vocally, but it still gets a thumbs up from me, and I think she has a hit on her hands. The video –  The stylist who encouraged her to put on that swim suit []
