Check out British Hip Hop duo Angha and their debut single For You, featuring Dele.
For You is a well produced track, but it sounds very familiar, and has that late 90s / early noughties American R&B/Hip Hop saccharine sweat fusion going on.
It actually reminds me of Jennifer Lopez’s 2001 hit featuring Nas, I’m Gonna Be Alright. Click HERE to watch. And for some reason Ja Rule’s 2004 track New York. Click HERE to watch.
Duo Angha sound okay, but for me it’s featured artist Dele who really stands out.
I also feel that the track would have worked better had it just featured his singing vocals and no rapping.
For You is released on the 31st May.
Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?

OT: What was Diddy on about on Twitter? I refuse to sign up & follow, just to read a tweet.
The track sounds pretty good. But I hear you on the Dele though. He’s pretty good.
Diddy?? what’s he got to the with this?
Was talking about J’s [then] twitter status, hence the OT (off topic). As for the video, I’m always too lazy to press play.
I’m loving this tune and video, its so refreshing to hear the classic RnB/HipHop merger, especially coming from the UK.
@Adaobi you should try watching, give it a chance.
Does anyone know were I can purchase this track?
Personally I think it is a hit simply because I look for substance in a track.
These days and especially in the UK, we lack the core substance to create a great track that is easy to listen to. We have to many MC’s and lack true rappers in the UK.
I agree with Candice totally love and miss that classic RnB/HipHop merger which is lacking these days.
Definately looking forward to hearing more from the Angha boys.
