BBC News reports that South African president Jacob Zuma  has announced that Nelson Mandela has sadly passed away. He was 95 years old. “Our nation has lost its greatest son,” Mr Zuma said. Rest In Peace Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela. Freedom fighter.

The Evening Standard reports that Nelson Mandela is expected to be represented by one of his daughters at Margaret Thatcher’s funeral on Wednesday. Former South African leader F W de Klerk will also be in attendance. I am sorry but I’m about to take it there… Thatcher supported South Africa’s evil apartheid regime and called Nelson Mandela a “terrorist”,  so I am surprised to read that a member from the Mandela family will actually be in attendance. Nelson Mandela’s great-granddaughter Zenani Mandela was killed in a car crash yesterday. The 13 year old was on the way home from the World Cup kick off concert when the accident happened. Johannesburg Metro police spokeswoman Edna Mamonyane disclosed that the driver of the car had been arrested and charged with drunk driving. RAPPER Lil Kim and singer Cyndi Lauper both sang Cyndi’s classic 80s hit Time After Time, at Nelson Mandela’s 91st birthday bash concert in New York City this past weekend. I had to stop watching soon after Kim joined in. Was dueting with Lil Kim Cyndi’s idea??? I mean… WHY??????????????????? Poor Nelson.
