Check out Beyonce’s latest single Sweet Dreams, taken from the album I am Sasha Fierce. The track has an 80s feel to it and the video’s typical Beyonce… All in all though.. it’s OK. Your thoughts please. Hit or miss?

MARSHA AMBROSIUS LONDON CONCERT FOOTAGE (THE JAZZ CAFE)

Former Floetry star Marsha Ambrosius jetted in from sunny Los Angeles and performed live at the UK Soul Jam event (Jazz Cafe) on July 5th, in London. Footage via Soul Culture ‘Take Care’ ‘Say Yes’ Marsha is one talented lady. I really enjoyed watching both performances.  I look forward to hearing the album. Also it sounds as if Marsha’s English accent is no longer missing in action and has MIRACULOUSLY found its way back home.   Hallelujah!

UK MUSIC: ALEXANDRA BURKE ‘DESPERATE’ TO RELEASE ALBUM

X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke apparently cannot wait to release her debut album. The highly exciteable singer told The Sun, “If I could turn round and say to the label, ‘OK, done, let’s release it tomorrow’, I would. I’m so excited to bring it out – my blood’s boiling. It’s not going to be what you expect it to be. The label have told me they’re very proud at the moment.” Burke also disclosed that she has been receiving support from Beyoncé during the recording process. []

BET DENOUNCES LIL WAYNE/DRAKE PERFORMANCE AT AWARDS SHOW

Another print publication bites the dust. Who will be next? Vibe magazine, the urban-music magazine founded in 1993 by Quincy Jones, is the latest victim of the media recession. Multiple sources both within and outside the magazine confirmed that it is shutting down. Source Rest In Peace Vibe Magazine. It’s the end of an era.
