AllHipHop reports that Hip Hop pioneer DJ Kool Herc (real name Clive Campbell) is currently in the hospital suffering from an unknown health condition. According to Gangstarr’s DJ Premier, Kool Herc’s health is deteriorating and he is in need of financial assistance, because he reportedly doesn’t have health insurance. UK artist DJ Ironik (real name James Christian Charters) was attacked and stabbed in the early hours of Saturday morning during an attempted robbery whilst returning to his home in North London. His spokesman said, “he was stabbed in his upper leg, taken to hospital and is currently being treated. SINGER FANTASIA BARRINO HOSPITALIZED AFTER SUSPECTED SUICIDE ATTEMPT

It’s been reported that American Idol star Fantasia Barrino has been hospitalized after attempting to commit suicide. “Police sources” say Barrino  was found in the closet of her home and later rushed to hospital, where she was hospitalized with “possible internal injuries” after “ingesting medication.” North Carolina police say the incident is still under investigation. ARETHA FRANKLIN RECOVERING AFTER FALL

It’s been reported that Aretha Franklin was forced to cancel a series of concerts in New York, after falling and breaking a few ribs over the weekend. The star says she is now recovering from the fall and efforts are being made to reschedule the cancelled shows. ………….. Get well soon Aretha.

It has been reported that Hip Hop legend Guru ( real name Keith Alam) is in a coma after suffering a heart attack yesterday (Feb 28th). Via The Guardian The rapper’s condition was confirmed by DJ Premier, his partner in the seminal hip-hop group Gang Starr, in a phonecall to radio show Hip Hop Nation yesterday. He is reported as saying: “Guru is in a coma and will go under surgery tomorrow afternoon.”  I hope he pulls through.
