Rapper Dizzee Rascal has knocked The Black Eyed Peas off the top of the UK singles chart. His single Bonkers a collaboration with DJ Armand Van Helden, debuted at number one after becoming the fastest-selling single of the year so far earlier this week. I don’t really understand why Bonkers is so popular BUT congratulations Dizzee.

The track, which is a collaboration with dance DJ Armand Van Helden, shifted 46,000 units on its first day of release. With continuing high sales, the song will easily overtake first week sales of previous number ones. Good news for Dizzee! Rapper Dizzee Rascal (real name Dylan Mills) has escaped charges after he was arrested for becoming embroiled in a road rage incident involving a baseball bat. Mills was detained earlier this month after chasing another driver with the weapon following an argument in Orpington Kent, England. The 24-year-old returned to Bromley police station in Kent on Tuesday, where he admitted to being guilty of a public order offence and accepted an official caution. Rapper Dizzee Rascal has captured his first UK number single, which has gone straight in at the top of the chart. Dance Wiv Me won its battle with dance act Basshunter’s song All I Ever Wanted, which came in at number three behind Ne-Yo, last week’s chart topper. Dizzee’s previous high in the singles chart was 11 with Stand Up Tall. (Source) I’m not the biggest Dizzee Rascal fan but I do like this track! Congratulations Dizzee!
