Rapper Lil Wayne (real name Dwayne Carter) has finally issued a public apology to the family of slain teenager Emmett Till. Wayne caused controversy earlier this year when he appeared on the remix of Atlanta artist Future’s unreleased single ’Karate Chop’ and rapped the line, “beat the p*ssy up like Emmett Till.” Emmett Till was a 14 year old African-American boy who was brutally murdered in Mississippi in 1955, after he reportedly whistled and flirted with Carolyn Bryant, a 21 year old Caucasian woman. Former footballer turned boxer Curtis Woodhouse received an apology live on television this morning from a Twitter troll. James O’Brien had been sending a series of abusive tweets for up to eight months to the boxer, but had to apologise after Woodhouse eventually snapped, tracked down O’Brien’s address details via his Twitter followers and drove to the troll’s home to discuss matters further. Whatever Sony! Via BBC News Record label Sony has apologised for increasing the price of two Whitney Houston albums hours after her death on Saturday. The wholesale cost of the two LPs – Houston’s Ultimate Collection and Greatest Hits – went up by around £3 each, causing an automatic price increase on iTunes.
