THE JAY-Z WORSHIP CONTINUES – NY PUBLIC LIBRARY HOSTS DECODED EVENT

It seems the world has gone ‘bananas’ over Jay-Z’s recently released book Decoded, including the folk over at the New York Public Library. Jay-Z appeared at the NY Public Library last night (I’m guessing it was his first time actually stepping foot in to the library) for an analyses of his book Decoded, along side Dr. Cornel West and Paul Holdengräber. UK MUSIC: CHIPMUNK – FLYING HIGH

Rapper Chipmunk has been raving about his new single Flying High for the past week now.  So does it lived up to the hype? Well like with most mainstream UK “urban” music these days… no not really. But to be fair the production isn’t bad. The video – another UK emcee going out of his way to honour Jay-Z by mimicking his mannerisms and choice of clothing.  Then we have the African theme running through the video which doesn’t connect to the track. UK MUSIC: JESSIE J – DO IT LIKE A DUDE

People have been raving about this lady and her official debut track/video (Do It Like A Dude) all day, so I decided to finally check out new artist Jessie J. The track – When I first watched the video I just thought of Rihanna and Lady Saw. In my opinion Do It Like A Dude isn’t particularly outstanding, it just sounds like your average UK “urban” fare.  But it will probably go on to become Jessie’s first UK number 1 single, and []

Team UK stand up and rejoice! Lethal Bizzle has announced that he is about to drop the 2011 version of his 2004 hit Pow, this time featuring Kano. Check out what an excited Lethal has to say about the 2011 version. Just last week I overheard a teenager at the bus stop say to his friend… “wouldnt it be good if Lethal Bizzle released a 2011 version of Pow. The world needs this blud!”
