Illegal Activity, an original short film directed by Sebastian Thiel of Its Upshot and produced by Kingdom Entertainment, is a timely piece of work demonstrative of the culture we live in today. Illegal Activity creatively posing the age old phrase “you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone,” using drug culture as a foil, he explores the risks people would take in order to nurture their brain. The streets of London are under heavy surveillance; its occupants are like zombies and […]

Tim “Big Dawg” Westwood conducted this interview with actor Adam Deacon before he went on to win the BAFTA Rising Star award voted by the public several weeks ago. I knew Adam would take home this award because he campaigned like an US politician on speed and encouraged his thousands of Twitter followers to vote and his famous friends. He even turned up to The Woman In Black film premiere and posed for the cameras with ‘Vote For Me’ flyers and apparently […]

UK artist Jammer recently went out ‘raving’ in London with one of my favourite Hip Hop acts from back in the day Bones Thugs-In-Harmony. How random… [Thanks Lorraine] *cringing* Is this what it’s come to Bones Thugs? Hanging out in London with UK artists and some over-excited hanger ons? You know times must be hard for most of these American personalities when they start visiting London on a regular basis, hanging out with UK artists and their mates, and appearing at any event […]

Estelle performed her new single Thank You on the Letterman Show the other night. Even though her vocals seem to have improved somewhat I still say that Estelle is no singer. She is a rapper. But it’s good to see that she is still doing well in America. The song sounds like something Mary J Blige would have sung back in the day and it sounds/looks like Estelle is attempting to channel her during this performance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c00n-9uXWYU&feature=player_embedded#! Your thoughts please. Hit or Miss?

Over the weekend Tim “Big Dawg” Westwood hosted a FREE “rave” at the O2 Arena. Photographs of the event were then posted on Facebook and then promptly removed by Westwood because they created such a stir. I have only been able to see a few of the pictures and all I can do is shake my head. What an embarrassing MESS!!! Click HERE to view some of the photographs. Anyway at some point during the evening there was a dance competition. One of my readers Miss Fonteyne sums this footage […]

Our Jump Off debaters got together to discuss two different art forms. The art of writing lyrics versus freestyling. How has the definition of freestyling evolved over time? Is writing lyrics for an MC battle acceptable? What is the definition of a freestyle? … As far as I am concerned freestyling is straight off the top of the dome. END OF! Now you have people going on the Tim Westwood show (for example) fooling the 90s babies in to believing that the lyrics coming from out of their mouths has […]
