RIHANNA GIG REVIEW – THE O2 BRIXTON ACADEMY (LONDON)

Last night (November 16th) I attended Rihanna’s highly anticipated show at London’s O2 Brixton Academy in association with Nokia. The event was billed as being a private gig (invite only) that was due to be hosted at a private location. I initially thought that it would be taking place in a sophisticated dark intimate setting in some trendy night club. UK FILM: STREET DANCE 3D

I just watched the trailer for the up and coming film ‘Street Dance (3D)’ and it looks like it’s trying to be the UK’s answer to US dance films made over the past 5/6 years e.g. ‘Step Up’. Britain’s Got Talent winners Diversity team up with dance group rivals Flawless and 2008 Britain’s Got Talent winner George Sampson. It looks like another cheesy dance movie with a weak storyline, but well done to Flawless and Diversity for getting this gig. Film release []

MADONNA FLIES IN TO MALAWI TO MARK CONSTRUCTION OF NEW SCHOOL FOR GIRLS

No longer on a one woman quest to rid the African continent of it’s children, superstar Madonna flew in to Malawi and donned dark shades yesterday as she marked the construction of a new school for girls. Anyone would think Queen Elizabeth II was paying the country a visit… Would it not have made more sense to wait until the building is actually standing and then mark it’s opening??? Anyway well done Madge!
