Via Digital Spy Nigerian playwright Wole Soyinka has branded a BBC documentary about the slums in Lagos “condescending” and “colonialist”. Aired on BBC Two, three-episode mini-series Welcome To Lagos tracked people living in the poorest areas of the Nigerian city to celebrate their industriousness. Speaking to The Guardian, Nobel Laureate Soyinka said that the documentary was “the most tendentious and lopsided programme” he had ever seen. N-Dubz appeared on GMTV earlier this week and group member Dappy addressed the recent photographs that exposed him taking the illegal substance Meow Meow (Mephedrone). BRIT AWARDS WINNERS 2010

The “prestigious” Brit Awards took place last night and aired live on ITV 1. The show was a complete shambles but host Peter Kay and his dead pan humour made me laugh out loud on several occasions.   The majority of the artists who appeared in front of the camera appeared to be “under the influence”.  Actor Idris Elba looked a mess when he galloped on stage, wearing dark shades which he then quickly removed, to present an award. He looked drunk and high.   Lilly Allen was completely off []
