Sad, sad news folks…. The Guardian reports that rapper Giggs’ concert has been cancelled after police warned concert venues of safety concerns. Giggs, from Peckham, London, and recently signed to XL Recordings, was due to play 10 dates starting tomorrow in Birmingham. Brown, who represents the Ashley ward in Bristol said last week that she will plead not guilty to charges of racially aggravated harassment. Former Miss England Rachel Christie was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving last week. Christie was with boyfriend TV Gladiator “Tornado” (real name David McIntosh), when they were stopped near Marble Arch in central London. The heptathlete, niece of former Olympic gold medal sprinter Linford Christie, apparently refused to blow in to the breathalyser when asked repeatedly to do so. Via The Evening Standard A headteacher has unlawfully fined the parents of pupils caught smoking in their school playground. Margaret Peacock, head of Elliot School in Putney, wrongly claimed powers under the 2007 smoking ban to issue the £50 penalties.
