Singer Lauryn Hill admitted in court today that she failed to file three years of taxes on income of $1.8 million. The star now faces a 3 year prison term and $75,000 in fines and will be sentenced in late November. Black Voices reports that R.Kelly has cancelled promotional appearances for his new album (Write Me Back) and memoir (Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me) because of throat complications. The singer had surgery last year to treat an abscess on his vocal cords. Kelly’s publicist said in a statement that ‘he was on his way to New York on Wednesday morning when he became ill and returned to Chicago for medical treatment’. … Oh dear this doesn’t sound good.
