UK artist Bashy Via The independent Bowing to pressure from a growing coalition of race activists and urban music stars, the Metropolitan Police today agreed to revise a controversial method of monitoring gigs which critics have labelled “potentially racist”. UK NEWS: JACK TWEED CHARGED WITH RAPE

BBC News Jack Tweed, the widower of reality television star Jade Goody, has been charged with rape. The 22-year-old was charged with one count of rape over an alleged attack at an address in Redbridge, Essex, a Metropolitan Police spokesman said. For several years now old skool rapper Roxanne Shante (real name Lolita Shanté Gooden) has been telling the world that she earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Marymount Manhatten  College and received her PhD in Psychology from Cornell University. We were also led to believe that Warner Music Group funded Roxanne’s education because of some clause in her recording contract with them. But it was all lies I’m afraid! Via BBC News A former BBC television presenter who hit a teenager with a wooden pole in a fight outside a West Midlands bar has been jailed for two years. Ashley Blake was found guilty of wounding Greg Jones, 17, and intending to pervert the course of justice. Blake, 40, who presented Midlands Today, was sacked following his conviction at Birmingham Crown Court. He had denied the attack outside The Place 2B restaurant in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham.
